India at the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Glasgow, expressed to intensify its climate action by presenting to the world five nectar elements (Panchamrit) of India’s climate action. Our Prime Minister committed to an ambitious goal of reaching net-zero by 2070. Translating this into action India now has set out a near term goal to reduce Emissions Intensity of its GDP by 45 percent by 2030, from 2005 levels.
Transportation being one of the major sources of emissions, Govt. of India along with various state govts has announced a slew of measures, including subsidies to induce adoption of Electric vehicles. City Link as a Goods mobility service provider sees itself as an integral part of this National Mission and has decided to turn 100% Electric by 2026. City Link is an early mover in EV transformation and in view of the nascent EV adoption in India, we believe there is a ripe opportunity to build a large EV Co.
